The other day I hit a red light (when I was already running late, might I add) and couldn't help but instantly expel a frustrated, “why me?”

But with Thanksgiving right around the corner, I actually stopped a minute or two later to think about how ridiculous it was that I was complaining about a red light. Furthermore, I’ve never given thanks or even thought twice about breezing through a green light.

It seems like lately it has been all too easy to complain about the little hardships in our lives and forget about all of the amazing things that happen to us each and every day. That’s why it’s time we talk about gratitude lists.

Like its name implies, a gratitude list is just that — a list of things you are grateful for. And the beauty behind it is that you can be as specific or general, direct or long-winded as you’d like — it’s your list and your gratitude.

So with the holiday season officially here, a few of us at CIRCLE CARE Center thought now would be the perfect time to express what we’re grateful for, both in our personal and professional lives. Below is what we came up with!

A CIRCLE CARE Center Gratitude List

"One of the things I am grateful for is the ability to come to work each day, knowing that I am helping to make a positive impact on the lives of people in my community." - Stephen

"I am very grateful to have wonderful family and friends." - Lee

One of the things I’m grateful for is the love of my husband, family, and friends -- because they empower me to be a better person, and I am able to share that quality with those who need it.” – Maria

While we hope you enjoyed reading what we’re thankful for, we hope you take it one step further and create your own gratitude list. It may seem difficult or even awkward at first, but you’ll be surprised by how beneficial it really is!
